Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is a progressive, not-for-profit organisation providing a comprehensive and bespoke suite of world‑class aged care services. We are seeking passionate Domestic Assistants to join our community care team on a Casual basis for our Goulburn region. This role provides a range of high-quality domestic services tailored to support clients within the community who require assistance with everyday duties in their own homes.

This role provides a range of high-quality domestic services tailored to support clients within the community who require assistance with everyday duties in their own homes. You will play a meaningful role in promoting the retention of existing life skills, supporting clients to lead a valued life, and enabling them to remain living safely in their own home.

Key Responsibilities \n

\n
• Provide client-focused domestic assistance and social support while upholding the client's cultural independence and dignity.
\n
• Undertake routine cleaning tasks, Tasks include but not limited to cleaning high touch point areas such as toilets and kitchen; sweeping or vacuuming; mopping; dusting; changing bedsheets; washing, drying, ironing and folding clothes; washing walls and windows; and other duties as requested.
\n
• Assist clients with unaccompanied shopping and meal preparation.
\n
• Apply hygiene, infection control, and safe cleaning procedures.
\n
• Maintain clear communication, document regular progress notes in the system, and **escalate** any concerns in a timely manner.
\n
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably required or directed as service needs change.
\n

Requirements \n

\n
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (experience in aged care or community settings is highly desirable).
\n
• Good level of physical fitness with an ability to complete repetitive tasks for extended periods.
\n
• Superior time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside proficiency in using digital applications and smart phones.
\n
• Current Australian Driver's License.
\n
• Roadworthy and registered vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance.
\n
• A smart phone and willingness to use it for work purposes.
\n
• Current National Police Certificate clearance (and willingness to renew it every 3 years).
\n
