Practice Nurse
- Experienced GP Practice Nurse role within an established and supportive practice
- Flexible full-time or part-time hours - Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDS
- Work alongside an experienced nursing team with structured handover and ongoing
About the role:
You will be working as part of a small and supportive nursing team of 2–3 Nurses, including an experienced senior nurse. The practice has an established patient base and also operates a skin clinic.
Responsibilities include chronic disease management, triage, vaccinations, wound care, pathology collection, health assessments, recall, treatment room coordination, cold chain management and sterilisation.
The current senior nurse is retiring in the coming months and will be available to provide a structured handover to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Requirements:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN).
- Experience in General Practice Essential
- Experience in general practice or primary care nursing.
- Interest in primary health care, health assessments, chronic disease management and care plans.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- The ability to work autonomously, but also as part of a team of doctors, nurses and allied health providers.
- Current immunisation and first aid certifications.
