Project Engineer

Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of chemicals and scientific products. They employ thousands of people in R&D facilities across the globe and are committed to developing innovations that will make a difference to our world. They are currently seeking a Project Engineer for a long-term casual role (with the view to permanency) in their manufacturing facility based in North West Sydney.

Duties include:

• Project planning, ensuring timely completion and to specification.
• Providing support to Project Managers.
• Travel to local and international sites to supervise the installation of equipment.
• Providing support and guidance to the company's distributors, OEM's and strategic partners.
• Reviewing project drawings and liaising with the design team.
• Selection of equipment components on suitability, price and availability.
• Preparation of bills of materials as directed.
• Preparation and issuing of specifications, analysing quotes and issuing purchase requisitions.
• Preparation of data for progress / contract reviews.

Ideally you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• A current passport and ability to travel locally and internationally at short notice.
• The ability to work under minimal supervision and be self-driven.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
