About the Role

\n

A high‑profile Federal Government program is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the automation, configuration, and integration of systems within a secure and complex technical environment. This is a 12 months contract with options to extend for further 12 months!

\n

You will contribute to the development, deployment, and sustainment of critical infrastructure capabilities, with a strong focus on Infrastructure‑as‑Code , configuration management, and systems integration. The role suits someone who thrives in structured, security‑focused environments and enjoys optimising automated solutions across large‑scale platforms.

\n

Key Responsibilities :

\n

\n
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Puppet.
\n
• Support, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including performance troubleshooting.
\n
• Apply strong Linux system administration skills to improve reliability and automation.
\n
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of environments and services.
\n
• Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
\n
• Plan, automate, test, and deploy database environments using pipeline‑based workflows.
\n
• Identify and implement improvements to DevOps, automation, and integration practices.
\n

Technical Skills & Experience:

\n

\n
• Strong experience with Puppet and Terraform for configuration management and IaC.
\n
• Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
\n
• Capability in supporting and enhancing CI/CD toolsets (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
\n
• Experience in systems integration, build processes, and testing of integration environments.
\n
• Understanding of configuration management principles and documentation standards.
\n
