Warehouse Assistant

  • Darwin, NT
  • $35.00 per hour + Penalties
  • Monday to Friday | 38-hour week | Saturday work available

WorkPac are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant for a local marine company in Darwin. This role is Monday to Friday, paying $35.00 per hour plus penalties.

About Our Client

Our client is a respected provider of marine maintenance and repair services, supporting a range of commercial vessels and marine assets. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe, team-focused environment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assisting mechanical tradespeople and blasters/painters with daily workshop activities
  • Operating a forklift to receive, move, and dispatch materials and marine components
  • Packing and preparing parts, materials, and supplies for transport
  • Moving boat, barge, and ship components throughout the yard
  • Completing general yard maintenance and workshop housekeeping duties
  • Using power tools, drills, grinders, and oxy-cutting equipment as required
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment while adhering to site safety procedures

What You Will Need

  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist across a variety of tasks
  • Experience using power tools, drills, grinders, and oxy-cutting equipment (preferred)
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
