Location: Camperdown, NSW, Australia

Maternity Leave Cover: 8-9 Months

\n

The Research Assistant provides support and research administration to Research Fellows across a range of cerebral palsy related research streams and projects to ensure project outcomes are successfully achieved.

Duties \n

\n
• Provide general research administrative support to ensure the smooth running and delivery of defined research projects.
\n
• Coordinate events and meetings with critical research partners to support the effective management and delivery of research projects and achievement of agreed outcomes.
\n
• Collate information and support team members in the preparation of grant applications to secure research funding.
\n
• Prepare ethics documentation for submission to Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs) and governance committees for approval.
\n
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare information to support the development of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations.
\n
• Collect, input and clean research data to maintain data integrity and quality in preparation for analysis and publication.
\n
• Prepare and link files to ensure the consistency and alignment of data.
\n

Essential Eligibility Criteria \n

\n
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a health, social science, or related discipline
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide administrative and coordination support to the Network Operations Team, including organising events/meetings.
\n
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team using both virtual and in-person communication methods.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
\n
• Seeks, provides and shares information and knowledge appropriately and independently.
\n
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, collection, and documentation.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.
\n
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow complex instructions and meet deadlines.
\n
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
\n
• Understanding of the value of lived experience involvement in research.
\n
• Proficient computer skills
\n
• A current WWCC, national police check and NDIS Worker Screening check, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement in the role
