As part of this growth strategy, they are seeking a Head of Corporate Risk to join the executive team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director/CEO, you will take ownership of the Corporate Risk division, managing a significant portfolio while leading growth initiatives across the business.

You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding key client relationships, driving new business opportunities, strengthening insurer partnerships, and supporting the development of the broader broking team.
The ideal candidate will be a respected “beacon” broker - someone with the technical expertise, commercial mindset, and personality to attract clients, inspire teams, and represent the business at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 5 and manage a $600K–$750K corporate insurance portfolio
• Retain, develop, and grow key client relationships
• Drive new business acquisition and deliver annual growth targets
• Identify opportunities to increase client share-of-wallet
• Develop tailored insurance and risk management solutions
• Negotiate complex placements with local and international markets
• Build and maintain strong insurer and intermediary relationships
• Act as a senior escalation point for the broking team
• Coach, mentor, and develop brokers and account executives
• Support business strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and growth planning
• Drive compliance, process improvement, and operational excellence

You will bring:

• 8+ years’ experience within insurance broking
• Proven experience managing corporate or complex commercial clients
• Strong background in business development and portfolio growth
• Demonstrated success negotiating with insurers and markets
• Previous leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience
• Deep understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and risk solutions
• Strong industry relationships and market credibility
• Tier 1 qualification (mandatory)
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive outcomes
