Job description

Job Description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us build the place to find and buy anything online, this is your chance to make history.
\n We are looking for a Program Manager for the AU Global Store business. Based from our Sydney office, you'll own the commercial levers that bring the right international products to Australian customers at the right price, working across local and global teams to grow the Global Store proposition.
\n Amazon Global Store is an integral pillar of the Amazon.com.au proposition that today offers high demand international products, locally to AU customers. We are an innovative business focused on building a leading customer experience around our growing range of relevant international products sourced from Amazon's global stores. We work with Amazon's wider global business network, across teams such as search, customer experience, vendor management, engineering, marketing, logistics, finance, legal & compliance to tailor the best that Amazon has to offer globally into a proposition that best suits local customers' needs.

\n There are also a great range of benefits that make Amazon a great place to work, including our popular Dogs At Work program which has been proven to lower stress and boost morale and is now running successfully in our corporate offices around Australia.
\n Our commuter benefits scheme allows employees to save on the cost of getting to and from work while Amazon also offers subsidized health insurance for employees and their dependents on top of salary continuance (income protection), and life insurance.
\n Amazon has all kinds of jobs for all kinds of people, and prides itself on hiring individuals with all types of background and experiences and celebrates diversity of leadership and thought as a key component in its mission to create the most customer-centric company in the world.
\n This position requires full-time in-office presence 5 days per week at our CBD location.
\n Key job responsibilities
\n To excel in this role, you will:
\n - Enjoy a high degree of ownership: Drive the commercial levers for Global Store, from identifying high-potential international selection, to building promotional and marketing strategy, to understanding and shaping pricing levers.
\n - Collaborate effectively across teams: Build productive working relationships with cross-functional partners including search, engineering, marketing, logistics, finance, and compliance across multiple geographies.
\n - Use data to drive commercial outcomes: Proactively dive deep into metrics to identify opportunities and risks. Build analyses that inform recommendations and track performance of initiatives you own.
\n - Navigate ambiguity: Work across multiple geographies, teams, and systems where processes are not always defined and priorities can shift. Use judgement to move forward when information is incomplete and align stakeholders around a path when there is no single right answer.
\n - Technology & AI Adoption: Embrace AI and new technologies, diving into Amazon's tools and systems quickly and confidently to find faster, smarter ways to operate.
\n - Thrive in a fast-paced environment: Demonstrate strong organisational skills and effectively prioritise competing demands across multiple workstreams, escalating appropriately when priorities conflict.
\n - Embrace a growth mindset: Demonstrate resilience, curiosity, and a genuine appetite for continuous learning, including adapting quickly to Amazon's ways of working such as document-led meetings, narrative writing, and a culture of high-velocity decision making.
\n A day in the life
\n In this role, you'll focus on growing the AU Global Store business by working across multiple teams and geographies. You might start your day analysing sales data, then identifying marketing opportunities to support upcoming events, then move into strategy sessions with local and international teams to plan how to expand product offerings. You'll collaborate with colleagues in vendor management, pricing, marketing, finance, and compliance to bring the best of Amazon's global selection to Australian customers at compelling prices. Throughout the day, you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving, whether that's developing execution plans, troubleshooting challenges, or analyzing selection gaps to prioritise your next opportunity.
\n About the team
\n We are building an innovative business that serves as a key pillar of Amazon.com.au, bringing international products to customers who want access to a broader selection. Our team works collaboratively across Amazon's global network to understand what Australian customers need and translate that into tailored solutions. We're focused on creating a leading customer experience while driving sustainable business growth. When you join us, you'll be part of a group that values curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to solve complex problems together.
\n - 3+ years of program or project management experience
\n - 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
\n - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
\n - Bachelor's degree
\n - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
\n - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
\n - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
\n - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
\n - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
\n - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
