Location: Alice Springs, NT (Hospital Based)

Contracts: 4-12 weeks

Summary - About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Area Nurses for short contracts to provide health care services to remote communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in underserved areas and capable of working autonomously and withing a dynamic team in challenging environments.

As a Registered Nurse, Your Responsibilities Will Include
\n
- \n
- Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and goals, in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team. \n
- Provide skilled nursing interventions to patients in their homes, including wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, catheter care, and disease management. \n
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, and intervene as necessary to address acute or chronic health issues. \n
- Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene. \n
- Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection. \n
- Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician. \n

What We Require From You
\n
- \n
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration \n
- Minimum of 2 years working in remote or rural healthcare settings \n
- Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment \n
- Evidence of prior service \n
- Specific qualifications or Training for specialty area \n
- National police certificate \n
- A valid and up to date Ochre Card \n
- Up to date vaccinations \n
