\n This is one for the Shopify power users.
\n The humans who love getting under the hood of an eCommerce website. Who geek out on CRO, UX, CX and human behaviour. Who want to know why customers are dropping, where they’re getting stuck and how to make the experience perform even better.

THE GIG
\n As the Senior eCommerce & Optimisation Specialist, you’ll become the go-to human for Shopify, website performance and optimisation across Blue Bungalow’s eCommerce world.
\n Reporting into a truly killer Head of Digital & eCommerce, and working closely with the Head of Creative + an epic eCommerce crew, you’ll sit right at the heart of how the online experience performs, evolves and grows.
\n You’ll also have a fab eCommerce Coordinator reporting into you, helping keep the eCommerce Ops + customer side humming while you own the deeper Shopify, technical + optimisation piece.
\n And while there’s some lovely leadership baked in, this is still very much a hands-on senior specialist role. The really juicy bit? Understanding how humans actually shop.
\n Where are customers dropping? What’s getting in their way? Could navigation be smarter? Is creative helping them convert? What’s happening through cart and checkout? You’ll connect the dots across CRO, UX, CX, customer behaviour and commercial performance, then turn those insights into action.
\n You’ll become the anchor between eCommerce, Creative, CRM, CX and Development, bringing together what customers are saying, what the data is showing and what the wider team is seeing to make smarter decisions onsite.
\n You definitely don’t need to be a developer, but you’ll have enough technical chops to troubleshoot, understand what’s happening under the hood and know when to bring in Blue Bungalow’s Shopify development partner, briefing and QA’ing their work with confidence.
\n And then there’s the app. Already driving meaningful revenue, there’s a huge opportunity to build out app-specific features and make it an even stronger part of the eCommerce mix. You’ll be trusted to spot opportunities, bring ideas to the table and help shape what Blue Bungalow tackles next.
AND YOU?
\n First things first, you know Shopify properly.
\n You might already be an eCommerce, Optimisation, Website or Shopify legend brand-side. Or perhaps you’re agency or consultancy-side, owning Shopify, eCommerce or digital experience roadmaps, working closely with experience teams and developers, and fancy getting your hands on one brilliant eCommerce ecosystem to make your own.
\n Either way, you’ve actually been in the work. You understand how all the moving parts of an eCommerce website fit together and have a deep obsession with making it better.
YOUR DAY WILL LOOK A LIL’ LIKE THIS…

• Own the day-to-day health, performance + optimisation of Shopify.
\n
• Make the customer journey better across landing pages, collections, products, cart + checkout.
\n
• Dig into conversion, funnel drop-off + customer behaviour to find those juicy optimisation opportunities.
\n
• Shape + run CRO experiments and A/B tests, turning insight into action and measuring what worked.
\n
• Make navigation, merchandising, product discovery + UX smarter across a pretty sizeable catalogue.
\n
• Troubleshoot themes, apps + integrations, tackling what you can and bringing in the dev experts when you need them.
\n
• Brief, manage + QA Blue Bungalow’s Shopify development partner across bigger builds + improvements.
\n
• Connect the dots across eCommerce, Creative, CRM + CX to make smarter onsite decisions.
\n
• Help evolve + scale the mobile app, creating an experience that goes well beyond simply mirroring the website.
\n
• Bring ideas + priorities to the table and help shape what happens next across the wider eCommerce roadmap.
\n

THE GOOD STUFF YOU’LL BRING \n

\n
• Genuine, hands-on Shopify / Shopify Plus depth. This is the biggie.
\n
• A proper love for CRO, UX, CX + human behaviour, with real examples of where you’ve personally made an eCommerce experience better.
\n
• You know your numbers, with confidence across conversion, funnels + experimentation and tools like GA4 + Shopify Analytics firmly in your wheelhouse.
\n
• Enough technical chops to get amongst themes, apps + integrations and work beautifully with developers, while still seeing the bigger eCommerce picture.
\n
• Proper commercial instincts + an appreciation for great creative. You get how customer behaviour, creative, website decisions, product performance + revenue all play together.
\n
• Curiosity, autonomy + a little leadership sparkle. You’re happy steering the ship and guiding others, but still love being close to the work.
\n

And if you know your way around eCommerce tools + products like Tapcart, Braze, Tagalys, Matrixify, Refundid and Shop Pay, or similar tech, even better. You don’t need every logo on your CV, but you’ll understand where they sit, how they connect and the role they play in a cracking eCommerce ecosystem.\n
\nA little Liquid literacy will come in super handy for this one too.\n
