Offering a high level of autonomy, this role provides ownership of a broad tax portfolio, combining responsibility for tax compliance and governance with exposure to strategic advisory and M&A activities.

About The Role \n

As Tax Manager, you'll be responsible for Healius' corporate tax compliance and governance function, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting across the organisation. You'll also support advisory and M&A activities, contributing to the broader objectives of the tax function.

Key responsibilities:

\n
• Lead the delivery of timely and accurate tax reporting, including Tax Effect Accounting, consolidated tax returns, FBT returns and activity statements.
\n
• Conduct internal reviews to ensure tax compliance processes align with the Healius Tax Governance Framework.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls and efficiencies across the function.
\n
• Lead tax automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Support the tax team with advisory activities and M&A projects as required.
\n
• Maintain compliance with company WHS policies, procedures and training requirements.
\n

About You \n

Our ideal candidate is a technically experienced and commercially minded tax professional who is comfortable taking ownership and working autonomously. You will be confident operating across compliance, governance and advisory matters, and bring a natural ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience \n

\n
• Relevant tertiary qualification with CPA or CA accreditation.
\n
• 5+ years' experience in corporate tax compliance gained within a Big 4, mid-tier or large corporate environment.
\n
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian corporate taxation and tax accounting.
\n

• Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand commercial context and business priorities.
\n
• Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills.
\n
• Proven project management experience and the ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders.
\n
• Passion for tax and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
\n
• Experience in tax software products will be highly regarded.
