Operations Manager - Brisbane Airport

This is an opportunity to lead a critical airport operation, manage high-performing teams and work at the centre of one of Australia's most complex operational environments.

As the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of operational performance, maintenance delivery, customer relationships, safety, people leadership and continuous improvement across Brisbane Airport's baggage handling operations while ensuring contractual performance, safety, profitability and customer outcomes are achieved.

We are looking for a visible leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example and can confidently manage people, performance and operations in a fast-paced twenty-four-hour environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Port Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities across the site, ensuring contractual performance standards, customer expectations and safety obligations are consistently achieved.

You will work closely with airport stakeholders, operational teams, technical specialists and customers while providing leadership, direction and support to a multidisciplinary workforce.

What You Will Bring

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Trade or tertiary qualifications in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline, together with relevant operational experience.
• Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Experience leading teams within a complex operational environment
• Strong operational planning, rostering and resource management capability.
• Experience managing operational performance, service delivery and customer relationships
• Strong incident management and decision-making skills

Highly Regarded

• Aviation or airport experience.
• Automated systems, logistics or high-speed processing environments.
• Maintenance and technical operations leadership.
• Workplace Health and Safety qualifications.
• Management qualifications.
