As Executive Sous Chef, you will be the operational leader of the kitchen, overseeing daily service delivery and ensuring culinary standards, productivity and customer experiences remain exceptional. You'll work closely with the Executive Chef to drive performance across the kitchen while providing hands‑on leadership, coaching and support to the wider brigade. This role is ideal for a senior chef leader willing to take ownership, influence culture and help shape the next generation of kitchen talent.
Lead daily kitchen operations and coordinate service across multiple outlets and functions
Monitor labour and rostering to meet operational and budget requirements
Oversee food quality, consistency and presentation standards
Support menu development, specials and seasonal offerings
Mentor, coach and develop chefs, apprentices and kitchen stewards
Foster a positive, respectful and high-performing kitchen culture
Maintain food safety, WHS and compliance standards
Manage stock control & purchasing and assist the Exec Chef with supplier relationships
Work collaboratively with front‑of‑house and leadership teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences
Extensive experience in a senior kitchen leadership role
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams in high‑volume environments
Strong rostering, labour management and cost control experience
A genuine passion for mentoring and developing people
Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills
A hands‑on leadership style and willingness to lead from the front
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
Sound administration skills and computer literacy
