Transport Spares & Equipment Pty Ltd located in Welshpool Perth's is a Leading Supplier of Heavy Truck & Trailer Parts.

We are seeking a trade qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic/HD Mechanic/Diesel Fitter/Fitter General join our team in a full time position. The selected applicants will have experience in maintaining, testing and repairing mechanical parts of trucks and trailers.

This position will include the following duties and responsibilities:

• Maintenance of transmissions
• Re-bushing suspensions
• Working on steering and associated components
• Maintain braking systems on trucks and trailers.
• Axle relining
• Basic electrical work
• Perform detailed inspections of vehicles
• Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders and parts usage) on computer.
• Identify and repair or report worn or failed components, etc.

Our ideal applicant will be:

• Willing to work a 40 hour a week as required
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as required
• Capable of multitasking, organising tasks and can work unsupervised
• Someone who prides themselves in producing high quality work with good interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have an Australian Certificate III as a Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) or similar, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Candidates must also:

• Have basic experience in welding processes
• Have experience in thermal cutting processes
• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to basic wiring, control wiring and hydraulic systems.
• Full driver's license - HR licence is preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as required

The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package between $85,000 - $100,000 (depending on skills and experience).
