Summary

The Senior Education Advisor – Teaching for Learning Project plays a key role in advancing high‑impact teaching and learning across Brisbane Catholic Education. Providing expert advice grounded in the science of learning, the role supports the design and implementation of evidence‑informed curriculum and pedagogical initiatives that strengthen teacher practice and improve student engagement, achievement and wellbeing. Working in close partnership with schools and system stakeholders, the role ensures alignment with BCE’s Education Strategy and strategic priorities.

• Salary: $137,560 $152, - $152,836 plus 12.75% super

About the opportunity

In this position you will:

• Provide strategic, evidence‑informed advice to support the implementation of Teaching for Learning as BCE’s model of pedagogy
• Identify, shape and support curriculum and pedagogical initiatives aligned with BCE’s Education Strategy and NSSAB requirements
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to analyse priority areas and determine organisational and operational requirements
• Analyse and interpret data to challenge thinking, influence decision‑making and resolve complex teaching and learning issues
• Develop strategies, resources and professional learning that build system and school capability and improve student outcomes
• Undertake high‑level reviews and investigations and inform specialised reports and committee papers
• Build strong internal and external partnerships to share expertise and deliver agreed outcomes
• Support the development of teaching practice across the AITSL career stages (Teacher, Middle Leader and Principal)

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Leading a variety of initiatives to meet operational outcomes.
• Deep understanding of the science of learning, evidence informed practices and contemporary pedagogical frameworks
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic advice and influencing practice at a system or organisational level
• Strong analytical capability, including the ability to use data to inform recommendations and decisions
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build professional capability
• Written specialised reports and committee papers on impact of initiatives.
• Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in Education, with postgraduate qualifications and/or experience in a similar role highly regarded

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
