Locum Rural Generalist - Ceduna (DPA/MMM7)

Are you a rural generalist? and are you wanting to explore SA, Ceduna are taking on VR GPs for ongoing support in their local emergency hospital.

The Hospital
Ceduna Hospital is a regional acute care facility providing emergency, inpatient and primary care services to the Ceduna community and surrounding remote areas.
The Emergency Department manages a diverse range of presentations, with approximately 4,400 emergency presentations annually, including acute illness, minor injuries, chronic disease presentations and urgent medical care.

• Present to the Ceduna Hospital at the start of each shift.
• See all patients presenting to the ED
• See all inpatients as required and attend any ward calls for deteriorating patients
• From 7pm to 7am the following morning
• Provide surgical assisting in an emergency (this is very rare, perhaps only twice a year)
• 24/7 anaesthetic on-call for assistance with resuscitation
• Between 7pm & 7am the Locum doctor will be on call for Category 1 & 2’s presentations
• Must hold an SA Working with Children Check (WWCC) and current NPC
• Must hold an SA Working with Children Check (WWCC) and current NPC
• MO needs to be competent in Sunrise and Leecare systems, any MO requiring training must complete before arriving to site.
• 12months experience in an emergency setting
• Other locations to cover across SA
