Join us as at Mercy Health, and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes. **About the opportunity** The **WHS Coordinator** is a business partner role and is responsible for the following:* Providing support in the management of site WHS activities including ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and in accordance with organisational programs, policies and procedures.* Designing, developing and delivering WHS training and information programs, and providing ongoing support to sites for risk based activities.* Working closely with stakeholders to ensure a high standard of service delivery is provided.**What you’ll bring** To thrive in this role, you will have: **Technical Expertise*** Provide guided advice on WHS matters to the WHS team and to stakeholders* Understand legislative requirements relating to WHS and be able to communicate these to the WHS team and stakeholders* Participate in and contribute to team/unit initiatives to resolve common issues* Assist with resolution of issues and potential problems and select the most effective solutions from a range of options* Provide ongoing support with activities that have risks at allocated sites**Safety Management*** Participate in projects, safety investigations and audits* Attend relevant meetings including WHS Committees as required* Participate in working groups and workshops on WHS Matters* Disseminate safety communications for relevant topics (issues and activities) You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: ● A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check. **Why Mercy Health?** Every organisation has a list of values, but at Mercy Health, you’ll find we truly live them.
