Role Description/Criteria

St Bernadette's School is seeking a motivated and dedicated teacher to join our school community as a Classroom Teacher - Junior/Middle Primary. This position has an FTE of 0.6. The position is a Parental Leave replacement position for the 2027 school year, beginning on Wednesday 27th January 2027.

Applicants are required to have:

  • a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and to Catholic Education
  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (desired)
  • recent success and experience as a classroom teacher/leader
  • current VIT registration, inclusive of a Criminal Record check
  • a strong commitment to Child Safety and Wellbeing Standards and a commitment to the emotional and educational wellbeing of students.

  • expertise in contemporary learning and teaching practices and assessment, including an understanding of the Vision for Instruction (MACS) and the Vision for Engagement (MACS) and use of data to differentiate learning
  • a strong commitment to wellbeing for learning and inclusion
  • an ability to collaborate and actively contribute to a team focused environment
  • display a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning
  • have a passion for building strong links and partnerships with families and the community.
