About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Lead, Health to influence, drive the execution of our Health industry strategy across Business & Private Bank (B&PB).

This is a unique opportunity to combine deep industry expertise, credit leadership and strategic influence to help grow one of ANZ's key industry segments. You'll partner with senior stakeholders across the business, provide specialist guidance on B&PBs Health proposition and complex Health transactions, and play a pivotal role in developing our bankers, improving customer outcomes and strengthening portfolio performance.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and build strong relationships across the business at all levels and industry, with regular interstate travel required to engage customers, stakeholders and to support frontline teams and importantly represent ANZ with key industry bodies/events.

What will your day look like?

As Senior Lead, Health, you will:

• Shape, Influence, Lead the execution of ANZ's Health industry strategy, driving growth, performance and customer outcomes across the portfolio.
• Provide specialist credit and transaction leadership, exercising Relationship CAD (including BWS exception) and supporting complex Health transactions whilst balancing the needs of the customer. Proven commercial health decision-making is advantageous, understanding the retail and wholesale lending environments.
• Partner with Leaders of frontline teams to build capability through coaching, mentoring and industry-focused training.
• Drive portfolio performance and optimisation, identifying emerging trends, improving credit quality and delivering capital efficiencies.
• Champion customer growth opportunities, leading account planning disciplines, industry partnerships, proprietary and broker engagement and strategic initiatives that enhance market presence.
• Influence transformation and best practice, ensuring industry insights, knowledge and customer-centric approaches are embedded across the business.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Deep expertise in the health industry, including strong understanding of market drivers, trends and customer needs.
• Momentum lead with demonstrated preparedness to work with leaders across B&PB to achieve financial goals whilst overseeing well managed / portfolio oversight and health proposition governance where applicable.
• Significant experience in commercial banking, credit risk and complex transaction structuring.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, coach and develop high-performing teams, creating capability and confidence across diverse stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance risk, growth and long-term value creation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships at all levels.
• To engage, present, influence discussions at senior levels across both 1st and 2nd line to ensure ANZ Health is well placed for the customers and our people.
• A customer-first mindset supported by strong analytical thinking, sound judgement and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
