Job description
Join our team and be part of delivering exceptional dining experiences in a unique maritime environment. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our operation on a full-time 14/7 roster, providing high-quality catering services to personnel living and working on site.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will oversee food preparation and production, contribute to menu planning, manage stock control and ordering, minimise waste, and ensure meals are consistently delivered to a premium standard. You will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience for all personnel while adhering to strict safety, health, and compliance requirements.
To be successful, you will hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and have previous experience in high-volume catering environments such as remote sites, maritime operations, resources, hospitality, or large-scale commercial kitchens. You will be passionate about food, committed to safety, and capable of consistently delivering quality outcomes under pressure.
Mandatory Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Current MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screening (DAS)
- Previous experience in high-volume catering environments
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Full Australian working rights
