About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Internal Sales / Customer Service professional to join our client's branch in Melbourne's south-east as the primary link between the business and its customers.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role covering trade counter and phone sales, quoting, order processing, and warehouse/stock coordination — ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys being the go-to person for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve walk-in trade customers and handle phone/email enquiries with accurate, timely quotes
- Manage quoting and tender processes
- Process sales orders, pick/pack stock, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams and suppliers
- Identify sales opportunities and provide technical advice to customers
- Receive goods, dispatch outgoing stock, and support stock audits and cycle counts
- Maintain a tidy, well-presented trade counter and contribute to warehouse housekeeping and OH&S standards
- Build strong, lasting customer relationships
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in internal sales, customer service or a trade counter role — electrical wholesale, or related industrial products highly regarded
- Strong product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn a technical product range
- Confident, customer-focused communicator across phone, email and face-to-face
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, juggling sales, quoting and warehouse tasks
- Basic understanding of warehouse/stock processes (goods in/out, cycle counts)
- A safety-first mindset and commitment to good housekeeping
