Front End Assistants - Part Time

Costco Canberra Part Time Position Rotating roster which will include weekend work

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

• Greets members, helps members load merchandise on the conveyor belt, asks member packing preferences, answers questions, relays information on special promotions, and thanks members.
• Transfers items on the belt as cashier scans items, placing barcodes up for the cashier when possible.Assists with getting supervisor verification for high-ticket, Bottom Of Basket, or non-transfer items. Packs member orders into boxes andloads them on a separate cart or flatbed. Checks packaging for and reports tampering. Assists members with loading orders into car when appropriate.
• Runs for items such as, merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly.
• Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Retrieves trolleys and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 trolleys together. Keeps lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of building.
• Performs related tasks such as set up and closing duties for the department such as, returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area.
• Readily cleans and follows our regimented sanitation processes.
• Greets and welcomes Members into the Warehouse, Signs and quality control checks receipts on exit.
• Assists other areas in the department as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Operates mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler.
