About the Opportunity
CW Products is seeking a commercially minded finance leader who can become a trusted partner to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team and play an important role in the future direction of the organisation.

As the business continues to grow, there is an opportunity to further strengthen its financial and commercial capability, improve the quality of decision-making and ensure the finance function, systems and processes continue to scale alongside it.

This is a role that combines strategic influence with operational execution. You will help shape the bigger picture while remaining connected to the commercial and operational realities of the business.

From growth strategy, profitability and investment through to working capital, technology and team capability, your contribution will have a direct impact on business performance and what CW Products builds next.
Based in Murray Bridge, the role offers some flexibility for the right person.


About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting within the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance will provide financial and commercial leadership across CW Products.

Working closely with the Managing Director, National Operations Manager and National Sales Manager, you will bring insight, judgement and constructive challenge to business decisions while ensuring the financial foundations remain strong as the organisation grows.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy and translate growth objectives into clear financial priorities and measures.
• Partner with senior leaders on commercial performance, pricing, margins, customer and product profitability and investment decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, cash flow and working capital strategy.
• Provide commercial evaluation and challenge around capital investment, inventory, systems, resourcing and growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present meaningful financial and strategic insights to the Advisory Board and Senior Leadership Team.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, strengthening capability, accountability and succession.
• Drive improvements across systems, reporting, automation, controls and finance processes.
• Provide oversight of business technology and IT services, working with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure systems remain effective, secure and capable of supporting future growth.

The remit extends beyond traditional finance leadership into commercial strategy, capital allocation, Advisory Board engagement, technology and organisational capability.


What We're Looking For
We are seeking an accomplished senior finance leader who is energised by growth, commercial challenge and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a business over the long term.

The successful candidate will bring:

• Proven experience operating in a senior finance leadership position, such as Head of Finance, Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Director or CFO.
• CA or CPA qualification with strong strategic and commercial finance capability.
• Demonstrated experience supporting an organisation through growth, scale or significant business change.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence strategy, investment, profitability and business performance.
• Experience working closely with senior executives, Boards or advisory groups.
• Strong capability across forecasting, working capital, cash flow, capital allocation, financial risk and governance.
• A track record of developing finance teams and building capability, accountability and performance.
• Strong systems and technology capability, including ERP, automation, reporting and process improvement.
• A strong understanding of inventory, costing, margins and working capital within an operationally complex environment.
• The confidence to challenge constructively, combined with a pragmatic, collaborative and low-ego leadership style.
• The ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and operational detail.

Manufacturing experience will be highly regarded, particularly where you have helped a business scale. Senior finance leaders from wholesale, distribution, warehousing or similarly operational industries with highly transferable experience are also encouraged to apply.
