We are currently recruiting for two permanent Career Medical Officer (CMO) positions in Newcastle, offering an excellent opportunity for doctors looking for a long-term role within a supportive hospital environment.
We are currently seeking:
- 1 x CMO – Medical
- 1 x CMO – Rehabilitation
The Roles These permanent positions offer the opportunity to work as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality medical care to patients while working closely with specialists, nursing and allied health professionals.
The Medical CMO will provide clinical assessment and ongoing medical management of inpatients within a general medical environment.
The Rehabilitation CMO will provide medical care to patients undergoing rehabilitation, working collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team to support recovery and optimise patient outcomes.
About You We are interested in speaking with doctors who have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Appropriate Australian medical qualifications
- Previous hospital/inpatient experience
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- A collaborative and patient-focused approach
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- An interest in either medical or rehabilitation medicine
