Senior Radiographer

This year we have moved into a new, purpose-built screening and assessment facility in Hobart, designed to enhance service delivery and provide a modern, supportive work environment.

The Role:

• As a Senior Radiographer, you'll deliver screening and diagnostic mammography services, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care and uphold national standards.
• Take a leading role in the supervision and training of less experienced staff performing duties with the BreastScreen Australia program, ensuring that professional standards are maintained.
• Assist in the design, review and updating of protocols and procedures for work practices within the BreastScreen accreditation and quality assurance framework, ensuring compliance with work practices, and supporting the concept of continuous quality improvement.

This is a dynamic time to join us. We're building a public Diagnostic Breast Imaging service, offering the chance to be part of a significant initiative improving access to breast imaging across Tasmania. There is opportunity to be supported to upskill - such as through a Graduate Certificate in Breast Imaging- to perform breast ultrasound and broaden your scope.

Details of appointment:

Multiple Permanent, full time or par time, day worker positions available, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Position Features:

• The incumbent is required to wear lead aprons, as appropriate
• Intrastate travel may be required

$117,272 to $126,182 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance withAllied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2025

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
• A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role.

• Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
• Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia
• Licensed to practice under Tasmanian Radiation Protection Act 2005 and the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016
• Current Driver's Licence
