Teacher - Health and Physical Education

We are seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education - Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Halls Head College (HHC) is uniquely situated on the 'island' of Halls Head just south of Mandurah. The local intake area of HHC is south, close to the Waroona Shire boundary. The contributory primary schools are Glencoe, Halls Head, Falcon, South Halls Head and Ocean Road. The College provides a secondary education for students who live in the rapidly growing coastal strip, south of Mandurah.

The Role

The successful applicant should be highly active in their chosen specialised area, applying current and up to date knowledge and trends. Applicants with experience in coaching (at or above association level), with relevant coaching accreditations, are strongly encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant should have a real care and consideration for students and highly effective teaching practices with a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. You will ideally be called upon to work collaboratively with all members of the school and wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions.

Specifically, you should be student and relationship focussed, be able to provide engaging and meaningful learning, as well as assisting to develop an enriched Health and Physical Education (HPE) curriculum and profile of the HPE Learning Area.
