The Role

\n

The Deputy Principal works collaboratively alongside the Associate Principal. The successful applicant would display outstanding interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders of the school community. Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to lead professional learning communities is important to the role.

\n

The Deputy Principal, alongside the leadership team, drives the school's priorities and direction. The successful applicant will ideally have the skills to lead teams of staff with a focus on student learning and progress, data-driven and evidence-based practice, and excellence.

\n

A deep knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and best practice in teaching will allow the Deputy Principal to lead school improvement alongside teams of educators to ensure students make year-on-year progress.

\n

The successful applicant will ideally have a strong background in case management and a proven ability to work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, external agencies, support staff and teaching colleagues to ensure the successful inclusion of students with complex needs and behavioural challenges. The ability to develop, implement and monitor targeted support plans, coordinate multi-disciplinary interventions and foster positive, strengths-based relationships will be essential. Applicants should be committed to creating inclusive learning environments that promote engagement, wellbeing and positive educational outcomes for all students through proactive, trauma-informed and student-centred practices.

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

• hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
\n
• obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
\n
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
