The Associate Director of Sales supports the leadership of the Sales team, executing a strategic sales plan to position Elysium Manly as a market leader across leisure, corporate and MICE segments, while guiding Sales Executives to convert opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Main responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Drive new business opportunities across key market segments, with a focus on Corporate and MICE.
  • Develop and convert major sales leads while strengthening relationships with new, existing and lapsed clients.
  • Support the Director of Commercial with sales strategy, budgets, revenue planning and annual sales and marketing plans.
  • Represent Elysium Manly at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Sales team, setting clear targets and supporting achievement of sales KPIs.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching and development opportunities to build capability and performance across the team.

Commercial Performance

  • Work closely with Revenue to identify opportunities across business peaks and need periods.
  • Review forecasts and proactively drive strategies to maintain and grow business levels.
  • Maximise revenue through cross-selling and upselling of accommodation, events, dining and hotel experiences.
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness, supporting profitability and effective cost management.

Client & Brand Experience

  • Develop strong, long-term client relationships while delivering professional and personalised service.
  • Maintain accurate client records, sales activity and call plans within Elysium's CRM systems.
  • Act as an ambassador for Elysium Manly, consistently representing our luxury service standards and brand.

Your experience and skills include:

  • 4+ years' experience in a senior leadership position within luxury hotels, supported by a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Commercially driven, proactive and confident working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound understanding of industry trends with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Adaptable, energetic and solutions-focused, with a high level of integrity.
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation as required.
  • Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential.
