Our Business &Tax Advisory team supports clients managing their tax compliance and looking ahead to plan for their continued business success and growth. We are equipped to decisively deliver new ways of thinking, big-picture perspectives and acute insights that help clients make informed.

As a Senior Advisor, you will work as part of a collaborative team to deliver tax compliance and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients. You will build your technical capabilities across tax and accounting matters while developing strong client service and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for a small business
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance obligations.
• Support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory engagements.
• Assist with Division 7A compliance, trust distribution calculations and tax planning activities.
• Develop an understanding of different business structures, including companies, trusts, partnerships and corporate groups.
• Support private businesses and family groups with accounting, tax and business advisory requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records and working papers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery of work.
• Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing technical and professional development activities.

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:

• 1-3 years' experience in Business Services & Tax, Public Practice or Professional Services.
• Exposure to preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with a range of entity structures, including companies, trusts and partnerships, is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Full working rights in Australia.
  • Currently studying towards a CA, CPA,but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
