Remuneration: $42.20 - $66.84 per hour, plus superannuation

The SESLHD Mental Health Service is a specialised clinical service, providing care to a local population of over 930,000 residents in the Sydney metropolitan area. We provide care within both hospital and community settings to support people living with mental illness at times when acute intervention is needed, or to remain well in their community and lead their own recovery.

\n

The Eastern Suburbs Mental Health Team is looking for an experienced clinician to undertake this temporary opportunity within our Community Clozapine Team. This established position will influence and impact on service delivery. The Clozapine Team is a multi-discipline team striving to improve processes and care for people living in the community prescribed clozapine. The role will offer a high variety of roles and responsibilities between clinical work, education and quality improvement projects.

Selection Criteria

\n

\n
• Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer; Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA and having relevant post-registration qualifications in Mental Health and at least 3 years' experience working in the mental health clinical area, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate; Psychologist with a four year degree, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).

• Experience working in mental health with commitment to the principles of a consumer-focused recovery-oriented approach.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
\n
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
\n
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in the use of mental health outcome and assessment tools and activity data in the development and review of care models.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education, support and clinical supervision to others in providing service excellence.
\n
• Hold a current Driver's license and willingness to travel in accordance with the position.
\n
