Job description

TC Electrical Group is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic team in Belmont NSW 2280. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects within the mechanical trade industry . As a Skilled Labourer, you will provide essential help to complete the project. Position is mechanical assistant

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting skilled tradespeople on site with installation, maintenance and repair tasks
  • Preparing work areas by clearing debris, organizing materials and ensuring sites are clean and safe
  • Operating and maintaining hand tools and light power tools in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Loading, unloading and transporting materials, equipment and supplies to and from job sites
  • Following health and safety procedures and reporting any hazards or incidents immediately
  • Supporting ductwork and PVC pipework installation
  • Assisting with site maintenance and keeping work areas tidy and organized
  • Communicating effectively with team members to ensure coordination and efficiency on site
  • Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to project specifications and timelines

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a laborer within the trades or construction industry
  • A solid understanding of basic electrical safety practices and site safety protocols
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools and light power tools
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport to reach job site
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople
  • White Card or equivalent construction induction training
  • High standard of workmanship
