As an Automatic Door Service Technician, you will be the face of our company. This is a dynamic, autonomous road-based role servicing our high-profile commercial and industrial clients all over Melbourne. While our main office is based in Hallam, your day will be spent out on the road, fully equipped with a company vehicle, tools, phone, and fuel card. You will work alongside a supportive field team and report directly to the Service Operations Manager.
Maintenance & Service: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on diverse automatic door systems.
Rapid Response: Diagnose and fault-find urgent reactive equipment breakdowns on-site, then repair efficiently and safely.
Installation: Commission new automatic door systems and advanced electronic safety components.
Client Engagement: Advise clients on technical solutions and deliver elite customer service.
Administration & Safety: Log accurate service data into our mobile CRM system and uphold strict safety standards.
Diagnostic & Fault-Finding: Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across mechanical and electrical systems are essential for this role.
Full Licence Required: A full Australian Driver's Licence is mandatory for this position.
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant technical, trade, or field service experience.
Highly Regarded: Prior automatic door industry experience or formal trades (Electrical, Glazing, Fabricating, Mechanical).
Communication: Exceptional customer service skills and a clear communication style.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are required for this position (Australian citizen or permanent resident).
Fully Equipped: Company vehicle, tools, phone, and fuel card provided from day one.
Attractive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly rate plus superannuation.
Flexible & Extra Hours: Overtime available for after-hours or out-of-schedule client site work.
Rostered Days Off: 1 or 2 RDOs every 28 days, agreed by negotiation between you and your employer.
