Western Melbourne | Company van and training provided
BE Home Sooner is looking for a reliable, practical independent contractor to deliver, collect and correctly set up specialist equipment at local hospitals.
The successful person must live in Melbourne’s western suburbs, reasonably close to both hospitals. Suburbs such as Altona Meadows, Laverton, Williams Landing, Truganina, Hoppers Crossing, Derrimut or surrounding areas would be suitable.
About the opportunity
This is flexible, on-demand work that may particularly suit someone semi-retired or operating a small independent business.
You tell us your general availability in advance. When hospital jobs come in, they are offered to our contractor team through a simple mobile app. You choose which jobs you can accept.
Workload varies. Some days may have no jobs, while busier days may have three or occasionally up to six. There are no guaranteed hours or minimum number of jobs.
The work includes:
- Delivering and collecting specialist hospital equipment
- Setting equipment up correctly and safely
- Completing straightforward safety checks
- Providing nurses with simple equipment instructions
- Recording completed jobs through a mobile app
- Keeping the supplied van, equipment and depot clean and organised
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is positive, dependable and responds promptly
- Is practical and takes pride in doing things properly
- Is friendly and professional with hospital staff
- Presents cleanly and professionally
- Can use a straightforward smartphone app
- Can safely handle and manoeuvre equipment after training
- Holds a current Australian driver licence
- Has an ABN and operates as an independent contractor
We provide the van, specialist equipment and full training.
