We have an opportunity for an Area Chief Radiographer to join the team in Launceston Tasmania.

\n

You will provide strong leadership to the region's clinic and team members.

\n

As an Area Chief you will play a pivotal role in professional and operational leadership and management across the Launceston clinics including Jimmy's Complex, St Luke's Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital and a satellite site St Helens District Hospital. These clinics provide fully comprehensive services to the surrounding community including MRI, CT, Cath Lab, Nuclear Med/PET, theatre, Mammo, BMD, general x-ray, Ultrasound and screening.

This will be a Full-Time Permanent position ensuring the delivery of high quality, efficient, professional, and friendly services to patients and referees, and a commercial focus that provides both improved clinical and financial outcomes.

\n

You will have experience in supervising and leading individuals and demonstrated basic understanding of operational and commercial management processes. A well as ensuring effective team leadership and commitment to the development of staff.

Key Accountabilities

• Working collaboratively with relevant internal stakeholders to achieve strong patient care outcomes and quality, cost and productivity targets. and productivity targets.

• Providing direction, supervision, support and recognition of staff and promote collaboration, cooperation and teamwork through effective leadership and management.

• Displaying a strong commitment to developing others through implementing effective performance management and development processes.

• Understanding the financial and commercial aspects of the business and focus on diligently managing clinic costs to achieve or exceed budget targets.

• Ensuring outstanding service delivery and provide supervision of the day-to-day management of the Radiography Services through technical staff rostering and modality management and prioritisation.
\n
• Performing routine and specialised medical imaging procedures to the highest professional standards as required.
\n
• Establishing and maintaining strong, cooperative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to coach, mentor and support staff
\n
• Proven ability to perform high-quality medical imaging examinations to accepted industry standards
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with radiologists, patients, staff and stakeholders
\n
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
\n
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
