• Salary Range: $103,719 - $116,002 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

In this influential leadership role, you'll lead and empower a high-performing Quality and Compliance team, partnering with stakeholders across the University to strengthen People and Culture practices, enhance governance frameworks and drive continuous improvement.

You'll play a critical role in delivering audit readiness, embedding effective controls and building organisational capability to support trusted, compliant and high-performing people services. The team

As part of the Quality and Compliance team, you'll work alongside dedicated professionals focused on strengthening governance, compliance, payroll integrity and continuous improvement.

Together, the team helps ensure People and Culture services are trusted, compliant and responsive to the needs of a dynamic university environment, enabling staff and the institution to succeed.

Working closely with People Services and Careers, Legal, Risk, data and analytics teams, senior leaders, and external regulatory bodies, the team provides trusted advice on complex compliance matters, support audit activities, monitor legislative changes, and helps embed consistent, compliant practices across the University.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience leading and developing teams, including managing workload, building capability and driving consistent performance outcomes
• Demonstrated experience in quality, compliance, risk or audit functions, including designing, implementing and testing controls and audit activities
• Experience developing and applying compliance frameworks and governance processes within complex organisational environments
• Proven ability to analyse compliance risks, provide practical advice and leading the implementation of effective mitigation strategies
• Experience in managing audit processes, including planning, evidence collection, coordination of responses and tracking of issues and actions
• Proven experience in and/or understanding of process improvement methodology
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence outcomes and support effective collaboration across stakeholders
