Quest Cronulla Beach is now seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead the hotel on a full-time basis.

The Role

Reporting directly to the hotel owners, this General Manager role or (Property Manager) as Quest calls it, is a highly autonomous leadership position with responsibility for the overall performance and day-to-day operation of the property.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the front-office, housekeeping and maintenance teams
• Delivering consistently high standards of guest service
• Managing the hotel's financial and operational performance
• Overseeing recruitment, training, performance management and workforce planning
• Managing administrative, compliance, IT and operational requirements
• Developing and implementing the hotel's strategic business plan
• Maintaining Quest brand standards, systems and procedures
• Building relationships with local businesses, corporate clients and key industry partners
• Driving local and national account sales to grow occupancy, revenue and market share

Sales and business development are critical components of this position. The successful candidate must be comfortable personally developing new business rather than relying solely on existing accounts or brand-generated demand.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a senior hotel leadership role, ideally as a General Manager, Property Manager, Operations Manager or experienced Assistant General Manager.

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Strong leadership and team-development capabilities
• A proven ability to generate new corporate business and achieve sales targets
• Sound commercial judgment and financial management skills
• A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving abilities
• The capacity to move confidently between strategic management and hands-on hotel operations
• Experience managing budgets, revenue performance, staffing and operational compliance
• An ability to work effectively with hotel owners while taking accountability for the property's results

This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially focused hotel professional who can lead from the front, develop the team and actively drive the continued growth of the business.
