The Senior Policy Officer, Renewable Energy contributes to Victoria's transition to renewable energy and net zero emissions, with a focus on large scale renewable energy generation and energy storage.

The position is part of a small, high performing team responsible for monitoring and reporting on Victoria's legislated renewable energy and energy storage targets.

The Senior Policy Officer brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of complex policy and regulatory projects.

Additionally, the Senior Policy Officer will have sound communication skills which support the synthesis of complex technical issues into policy papers, briefs and reports to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, such as across the Department and to other Victorian government departments.

• An appropriate Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, economics, engineering, legal or other relevant area is desired, with experience in government or a relevant energy related field being an advantage.
