About the role

The position of Clinical Lead is responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical services that demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, effective problem‑solving and sound management of complex clinical situations to improve the health and wellbeing of people accessing the service.

The Clinical Lead plays a key role in supporting the Local Health District to provide a flexible and responsive service that meets the diverse needs of local communities and priority population groups, particularly during times of disaster or rural adversity, in alignment with the Disaster Response and Recovery Model of Care.

The role provides clinical leadership across the team, including supervision and mentoring of staff, as well as offering clinical advice, support, consultation and education to clinicians and Peer Workers.

This position requires regular travel throughout the regional areas of the Dubbo HUB to work closely with regional clinicians and Peer Workers, and to maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Community Mental Health team, local NGOs and other community agencies.
