About the role and what you'll do \n

Banyule Bpi is uniquely placed by delivering both Statutoryfunctions for Banyule Council Municipality and also offers a Building permitservice to Banyule residents. Thisenables team members to be exposed to all facets of the Building Surveyingprofession, encouraging growth, continuous improvement, learning andupskilling. In this diverse role you'll:

• contributeto an effective building permit service, including assisting with assessment ofplans and issuing of Building Permits
\n
• provide information and assistanceto members of the community including clients in regard to policies andlegislation, including; Building Control responsibilities of Council andBuilding Regulations.
\n
• manageenforcement of Building Regulations for safety and regulatory compliance withinthe Banyule municipality
\n

About you (what you'll bring/what we are looking for) \n

\n
• Tertiary qualification in Building Surveying (Bachelordegree or Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying) or currently undertaking.
\n
• Previous experience with buildingsurveying/inspections.
\n
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of Building Act1993 and Building Regulations 2018, and the ability to apply this knowledge.
\n
• Well-developed written and oral communicationskills.
\n
• Ability to liaise effectively with a broad rangeof people with varying social and economic backgrounds.
\n
• Ability to work in a busy team environment, aswell as independently.
\n

• Salary$101,202.68 to $110,025.50 per annum, plus super (dependent on experience)
\n
• A permanent, full-time position with a monthlyRDO.
\n
• 26 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/4weeks of paid parental leave – partner.
