Junior Accountant

The Opportunity:

As a Junior Accountant with Capital Alliance, you will be an integral member in the Finance team. You will be assisting in maintaining company ledgers and financial reporting for all arms of business operations. Communication between internal and external parties will be essential to the role. Working alongside members of the team, your focus will be on ensuring the integrity of information for the preparation of financial reports and compliance obligations.

• Knowledge and understanding of general corporate tax rules and Accounting standards.
• Knowledge of the real estate industry would be preferable, but not essential.
• Be adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Possess general and reasonable comprehension for finance.
• Critical thinking skills in solving day to day challenges.
• Experience in MS Office Suite with improved skills in MS Excel (including lookups, pivot tables and formulas).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of the business interest schedules and finance dealings.
• Assisting in the preparation of information memorandums/reports to key stakeholders.
• Assisting in preparation of budgeting and forecasting as required.
• Develop good understanding of finance and commercial contracts, particularly around financial and commercial obligations.
• Maintenance of general ledgers and bank reconciliation.
• Maintenance of internal and external stakeholders reporting for financial assets.
• Assisting in the preparation of management reports including consolidation reporting.
• Maintaining end of month processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of audits.
• Prepare and process receivables and payables on an as needed basis.
• Liaising with accounting and tax advisors.
• Adhoc analysis and reporting.

To be eligible you must:

• Have completed a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Commerce equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of local experience in Accounting.
• Qualified or studying towards CPA/CA or equivalent.

Remuneration:

• Competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 plus superannuation.
• Salary negotiable to commensurate with relevant experience.
