Administrative Officer (528817)

Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Tasmania is growing! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated administration Officer to assist our teams to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. We have 1 Full-time position available in the CYMHS Extended programs (Youth, Divert and Connect, Out of Home Care).

The Administration Officer will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level administrative support to the team as well as coordinating and supporting administration processes within the administration team.

The Role

• Undertake the coordination and supervision of administrative staff, including undertaking leave management, training of staff in new processes, the orientation of new or casual administrative staff, and the ongoing support of existing administrative staff.
• Manage and coordinate the administrative support systems for the efficient and effective operation of CYMHS.
• Undertake the management of the records system including filing and retrieval of information.

You will need

• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in contemporary office management practices, including knowledge of medical terminology or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, with well-developed computer skills and organisational skills including ability to transcribe written and audio-recorded information.
• Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, cooperating and working well with other team members in all CYMHS areas; respect the needs and ideas of others; provide support and assistance to team members, resolve conflicts, and appropriately share information with team members.
• Proven ability to provide leadership and training to other administrative staff, including mentoring staff with the ability to appropriately delegate responsibilities to ensure the development of administrative team members.

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

• Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
