The opportunity

\n

Lead the infrastructure and venue services that keep Marvel Stadium safe, reliable, resilient and ready to deliver exceptional experiences.

\n

Based at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across facilities, infrastructure, asset management, venue services, logistics, compliance and technical delivery. You will protect the stadium’s long-term performance and value through clear priorities, capable teams and partners, disciplined investment and continuous improvement.

\n

What you’ll own

\n

You will lead the people, partners, systems and investments that enable Marvel Stadium and its precinct to perform safely and consistently across sporting events, concerts, corporate functions, conferences, tours and other activations.

\n

You’ll add value through:

\n

\n
• Setting and delivering long-term facilities, infrastructure, asset management and venue services strategies
\n
• Leading managers, multidisciplinary teams, contractors and service providers to maintain a safe, compliant and event-ready venue
\n
• Strengthening asset performance through lifecycle planning, condition assessments, maintenance and renewal programmes
\n
• Ensuring critical building infrastructure, engineering systems, precinct utilities and security-related infrastructure remain compliant and fit for purpose
\n
• Overseeing venue logistics, deliveries, storage, event setup, technical infrastructure and venue configuration
\n
• Maintaining high presentation and amenity standards across public, premium, back-of-house and precinct environments
\n
• Governing statutory and building compliance, permits, contractor obligations, infrastructure risks, emergency preparedness and business continuity
\n
• Leading infrastructure projects and capital works from prioritisation and business cases through procurement, commissioning and operational handover
\n
• Managing operating and capital budgets with commercial discipline, effective procurement and a focus on measurable value
\n
• Partnering with event hirers, internal teams, suppliers, regulators and emergency services to resolve complex issues and strengthen operational readiness
\n
• Building leadership, workforce and technical capability across an inclusive, accountable and improvement-focused function
\n
• Using technology, data and AI to improve sustainability, systems, processes and ways of working
\n

What you’ll bring \n

\n
• Significant senior leadership experience across infrastructure, facilities, asset management, venue operations or logistics within a complex, high-profile asset environment
\n
• A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, facilities management, construction, asset management or a related discipline, or a relevant trade or technical qualification supported by substantial equivalent experience
\n
• Strong knowledge of building and engineering systems, asset lifecycle management, maintenance delivery, statutory compliance and operational risk
\n
• Demonstrated experience in contractor governance, capital works and the delivery of infrastructure projects
\n
• Proven ability to lead managers, multidisciplinary operational teams and delivery partners with clarity and accountability
\n
• Strong commercial and financial capability across operating and capital budgets, procurement, contracts, investment prioritisation and supplier performance
\n
• The ability to establish service levels and performance measures, use data to inform decisions and address performance gaps
\n
• Sound judgement and the ability to influence, negotiate and make effective decisions under pressure
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management capability across varied internal and external partners
\n
• Availability to work outside standard business hours and participate in after-hours escalation arrangements
\n
• A commitment to collaboration, inclusion, integrity, continuous improvement and doing what is right
