About us:

Logan City Special School has been proudly supporting students since opening in 1972 as Woodridge

Opportunity School. Located opposite the Logan City Council offices and Logan Entertainment Centre, and between Woodridge State Primary and Secondary Schools, the school forms part of a strong educational corridor in the local community.

The school is conveniently accessible by train, with Woodridge Station adjacent, as well as by bus.

In 1997, the school was renamed Logan City Special School to reflect its service to students from across the Logan City area.

Your opportunity:

This temporary position is for HOD-Curriculum at the Charles Ave Campus (Years 7-12).

Responsibilities include:

• Lead curriculum areas or whole-school programs in developing a shared vision focused on achieving quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Promote socially just practices and maintain high expectations for student and staff performance.
• Build positive partnerships with students, parents, government agencies and community groups.
• Take a strategic, future-focused approach while participating in ongoing professional learning and development.
• Apply relevant legislation and policies and manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to support the achievement of goals.
