Could you be our next Manager, Real Estate Finance?

\n

Behind every new restaurant, reinvestment project and development opportunity is a team making smart commercial decisions that help shape our future. We're looking for an experienced finance leader to join us as Manager, Real Estate Finance. Reporting to the Director, Field Finance, you'll lead the financial evaluation and governance of McDonald's Australia's restaurant development portfolio. Working closely with Development, Real Estate, Construction and Finance teams, you'll influence major investment decisions and ensure capital is allocated effectively to deliver long-term business growth. You'll also lead a team of Real Estate Finance Consultants, providing coaching, direction and commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects.

What you can expect on a day-to-day basis:

• Delivering financial analysis and investment appraisals for new restaurants, relocations, rebuilds and major capital projects
\n
• Leading development capital planning, budgeting and long-range forecasting activities
\n
• Providing commercial recommendations to senior leaders and approval forums
\n
• Driving investment governance, modelling standards and portfolio reporting
\n
• Identifying investment risks and opportunities to maximise return on capital
\n
• Partnering with stakeholders across Development, Real Estate, Construction and Finance
\n
• Leading and developing a high-performing specialist finance team
\n

Your keys to success:

\n

\n
• Experience in commercial finance, property finance, corporate finance, investment analysis or a related discipline
\n
• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to develop and lead high-performing teams
\n
• Strong financial modelling, investment appraisal, capital planning and portfolio analysis capabilities
\n
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to assess investment decisions within a broader operational and strategic context
\n
• Experience preparing recommendations and business cases for senior leaders, investment committees, boards or equivalent forums
\n
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and drive sound commercial outcomes
\n
• A collaborative and pragmatic approach, balancing financial rigour with practical business needs
\n
• The ability to build capability through coaching, feedback and empowerment
\n

Highly regarded:

\n

\n
• Experience within property development, retail, QSR, hospitality, infrastructure or another multi-site consumer business
\n
• Knowledge of site selection, construction economics, lease structures and portfolio management
\n
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
\n
