Plan A Logistics Human Resources Manager is responsible for the establishment and implementation of HR policies and strategies and for managing the company's HR function. This includes ensuring recruitment, induction, performance management, retention, training, and organisational development activities are in place to support the business. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the formulation of efficient work processes and policies, managing staffing levels based on workloads and forecasts, interviewing, vetting, inducting floor staff, and ensuring that all staff processes comply with OHS and legal requirements.
Due to employing a significant number of Spanish-speaking floor staff, the HR Co-ordinator must ensure that all employees, including non-English speakers, are fully informed about company policies and procedures. Enjoy a broad and varied leadership role. Make a lasting impact across the organization. Task & responsibilities Human Resources Lead and manage the human resources function at Plan A Logistics Pty Ltd.
Develop and train Department heads on company induction process. Develop and update induction manual and package for new employees. Write and maintain employment contracts, job descriptions, remuneration packages and organisation charts.
Maintain and develop company HR policies and procedure incorporating best practices. Develop an employee handbook. Assist department heads in performing annual staff appraisals, mentoring them in performance management, and developing remuneration strategies in line with company budgets.
Review and improve the performance review process. Manage floor staff numbers relating to workloads and peak seasons. Interview, vet, and induct all floor staff including training and performance reviews.
Ensure payroll processes run efficiently, and staff paid on time and correctly. Manage company OHS to ensure compliance, including regular workplace assessments. Develop and implement recruitment strategies/policies and assist department managers with interviews, inductions, and new hire paperwork.
Foster constructive and cooperative working relationships, building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Assist in coordinating company-wide work schedules, meetings, and timelines. Ensure all staff understand company policies and procedures.
Management Assist in the development of sound processes that coordinate efficient activities across the key departments of inbound and outbound functions. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. Write and maintain procedural/company policies manual.
Reportage Assist CFO in the preparation and presentation of company reports for company meetings. Assist in analysis of reports to identify areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Develop and present salary expense reports to CFO, including budget analysis.
Qualification & experience 2-5 yrs relevant industry experience in a strategic administrative/HR/Executive support role Communication based experience. Industry experience About Company Plan A provides warehousing and order fulfillment services to over 50 domestic and international companies for both B2B and B2C sales.
