We are looking for a Site Manager / Leading Hand to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hands-on, motivated and eager to develop their skills in residential construction site management.

You don't necessarily need years of experience as a Site Manager. We are looking for someone with a strong construction background who understands how a site operates, takes pride in their work and is ready to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You will work directly with the Directors of Abecon, reporting to them on a day-to-day basis and working closely with them to deliver projects to a high standard.

This direct relationship provides the opportunity to learn from experienced construction professionals, gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery and develop your skills in site management as the company continues to grow.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating trades on site

• Maintaining site safety, cleanliness and organisation

• Coordinating materials, deliveries and trades

• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications

• Monitoring workmanship and quality

• Assisting with programming and sequencing of works

• Identifying and resolving site issues

• Liaising with trades, suppliers, consultants and management

• Completing site inspections and quality checks

• Keeping projects moving to program and maintaining high standards

• Working closely with the Directors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to Abecon's standards

• Learning and developing your skills across all aspects of construction site management

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in residential construction

• Is hands-on and not afraid to get involved

• Has a strong understanding of how a building site operates

• Takes pride in quality workmanship

• Is reliable, organised and proactive

• Has good communication and people skills

• Can work independently while being part of a growing team

• Is eager to learn and develop their site management skills

• Has a positive attitude and takes ownership of their work

• Holds a current White Card

• A relevant trade qualification or construction experience is highly regarded
