Top Office Group is a preferred supplier of temporary staffing resources to Queensland Government departments across Brisbane, Ipswich and the Western Suburbs. We are currently seeking experienced, client-service-focused administrators for upcoming AO3 Housing Officer opportunities.

\n

When we receive a request for a temporary assignment, we consider candidates' relevant experience in relation to the nature of the role. Housing Officers may work in a number of teams in a Housing Service Centre, providing a broad range of applicant, tenancy and property management services and advice to clients with complex support needs, advocates and other stakeholders. The role will provide person-centred housing services, including:

• Managing tenancy arrangements including waitlists, allocations and vacancies.
\n
• Conducting routine property inspections and home visits.
\n
• Assessing new housing and bond loan applications and rental grants.
\n
• Managing tenancy issues, complaints, and maintenance follow-ups.
\n
• Checking property condition and compliance.
\n
• Updating housing records and departmental systems.
\n
• Assisting with arrears, vacancies, and tenancy changes.
\n
• Maintaining accurate client and property records and file notes.
\n

We are seeking candidates with:

\n

\n
• Customer service experience (face-to-face and via telephone) with a proven ability to build rapport, actively listen, demonstrate empathy and de-escalate challenging customer interactions.
\n
• Previous administration experience in an office environment with a proven ability to pick up new systems and technology quickly and navigate multiple applications and screens efficiently.
\n
• Property management experience is an advantage (but not essential).
\n
• Proven experience and examples of managing your work effectively whilst working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
\n
• Willingness to embrace new challenges and adapt to change.
\n
• Well developed, inclusive communication and interpersonal skills that focus on professional, ethical and culturally sensitive behavior.
\n
• Positive attitude and team player approach with experience adapting to different work tasks on a daily basis to support organizational goals.
\n
• Availability to work 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and commence the temporary assignment with short notice.
