Venue Manager

The Company

My client runs a well-established craft brewery and hospitality business, known for its quality beer, relaxed atmosphere and strong connection with the local community. With a busy brewery and pub operation, the business is looking for an experienced hospitality professional to take ownership of their new venue’s day-to-day operations.

The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the daily operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional service, strong team performance and a consistently high standard across the venue.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to a Venue Manager who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and creating a positive and well-organised environment for both customers and staff.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the venue team across a seven-day trading operation
• Managing day-to-day FOH and BOH operations to ensure smooth service
• Rostering, team coordination and performance management
• Managing stock, budgets and operational costs
• Maintaining high standards of customer service and venue presentation
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, health and safety requirements
• Coaching and developing the team to deliver consistent service standards
• Working closely with senior management to achieve operational and financial targets

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Venue Manager or senior hospitality professional who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment and understands what it takes to run a successful pub, brewery or high-volume hospitality venue.

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience managing a hospitality venue, ideally within a pub or brewery environment
• Strong operational and commercial understanding, including budgets, stock and labour
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop FOH and BOH teams
• A hands‑on management style with a strong presence on the floor
• The ability to work across all service periods and lead by example
• Strong knowledge of hospitality compliance, licensing, health and safety
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering a great customer experience

The Opportunity

• Permanent Venue Manager position
• $90,000 – $100,000 per annum
• Five-day roster across a seven-day operation
• Two consecutive days off
• Hands‑on leadership role with genuine operational ownership
• Opportunity to join a respected Queensland craft brewery and hospitality business
• RSA required

Hospitality management qualification or equivalent industry experience preferred and previous brewery, pub or craft beverage venue experience highly regarded.
