Senior Civil Designer

What you'll do

\n

As a Senior Civil Designer for our Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane, you will lead the delivery of civil design packages across a portfolio of sustaining capital, brownfield and greenfield mining, bulk materials handling and industrial infrastructure projects throughout Queensland and Australia.

\n

Working closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and our Global Design Centres, you will be ensuring high-quality design documentation and model development using Civil 3D and associated digital engineering platforms.

• Lead the civil design delivery of complex mining, bulk materials handling and industrial infrastructure projects, shaping outcomes from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
\n
• Create innovative, practical design solutions across site development, earthworks, roads, drainage, access infrastructure and operational facilities using Civil 3D and advanced digital engineering tools.
\n
• Contribute to iconic resources projects, including CHPPs, train load-out facilities, conveyor networks, stockyards and large-scale materials handling infrastructure.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, process, electrical and geotechnical disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
\n
• Drive digital innovation through model-based delivery, automation and data-centric design practices that enhance efficiency, quality and project performance.
\n
• Mentor and develop designers and modellers locally and across our Global Design Centres, helping build technical capability and design excellence.
\n
• Influence project outcomes through design reviews, constructability input and stakeholder engagement, ensuring practical and value-driven solutions.
\n
• Build trusted client relationships while supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of mining and industrial projects across Australia.

What you'll bring

\n

\n
• Relevant engineering, design or drafting qualifications and experience delivering civil design solutions for mining, bulk materials handling, heavy industrial and infrastructure projects.
\n
• Advanced Civil 3D skills, with expertise in earthworks, grading, drainage, corridors, site development and digital design delivery.
\n
• Strong background in roads, water management, hardstands and civil infrastructure within complex project environments.
\n
• Experience supporting sustaining capital, brownfield upgrades and expansion projects in operational mining and industrial facilities.
\n
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and successfully manage project interfaces across large-scale engineering projects.
\n
• Passion for digital engineering, model-based delivery and innovative design practices that drive efficient project outcomes.
\n
• Experience with ACC, Navisworks and integrated design coordination is highly regarded.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships and mentor developing professionals.
\n
• A collaborative, solutions-focussed mindset, with the ability to think strategically, challenge the status quo and deliver innovative, practical outcomes.
