The Role

As an Automotive Electrician, you'll play a key role in keeping heavy mining equipment operating safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on heavy mobile plant equipment
  • Carrying out breakdown repairs, installations and preventative maintenance
  • Performing inspections and troubleshooting across a variety of OEM machines
  • Delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a strong safety focus
  • Working collaboratively with site teams to minimise downtime and maximise productivity

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (essential)
  • Certificate of Proficiency or willingness to obtain
  • Air Conditioning (AC) Ticket highly regarded
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience working on OEM mining or heavy mobile equipment
  • Minimum 3+ years' post-trade experience (mining experience advantageous)
  • A proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach to work
  • Current Australian working rights
